  • Developed, implemented, and evaluated strategies to build the capacity of Komen for the Cure’s 120 independently-incorporated domestic Affiliates. Guided initiatives that impacted the Affiliate Network, and created training programs, support resources, and communication strategies to assist Affiliates as they worked to fulfill Komen’s promise to save lives and end breast cancer.
  • Directed Affiliate training efforts, including overseeing the annual planning and execution of five training events with an average of 1500+ total participants. 
  • Served as chief architect of annual forum for Affiliate Presidents and Executive Directors that routinely received 95%+ approval rating. 
  • Managed department and project budgets totaling $2.4M+ while ensuring fiscal responsibility with donor funds, as illustrated by the development of a new training stipend distribution policy that more equitably disbursed funds while saving the organization approximately $55,000. 
  • Served as departmental lead on the Komen Leadership Conference, assisting with the development and marketing of annual conference for 1000+ of the organization’s constituents.
  • Co-managed organization-wide assessment and planning project engaging hundreds of Komen constituents in an effort to determine ways to increase community impact across the country.
  • Led cross-functional committees and working groups specific to Affiliate initiatives.
  • Provided strategic guidance and direction on the development and refinement of Affiliate-targeted materials, including handbooks, presentations, and webinars.
  • Drafted Affiliate communications, including executive correspondence, newsletter articles, project overviews, and network-wide alerts.
  • Managed two direct reports, multiple contractors, and several vendors and agencies.

  • Managed the strategic direction and day-to-day functions of Komen for the Cure’s paid and public service advertising efforts. Upheld the integrity of the Komen brand by providing counsel, guidance, training, and support to constituents (Affiliates, partners, sponsors, vendors, media, etc.) and the general public. Managed marketing opportunities that required cross-departmental integration, ensuring opportunities were fully leveraged to achieve the organization’s business objectives. 
  • Played key role in the planning and implementation of an internal and external rebranding campaign in conjunction with the organization’s 25th anniversary, including helping to design and deliver transition support resources.
  • Managed advertising creative development process, from initial RFP development through final delivery of online, print, and TV materials.
  • Managed organizational print, online, and TV public service announcement campaign which resulted in more than $7.5M+ in donated advertising space in FY 2009.
  • Oversaw the design, creation, and rollout of “Brand Central,” an online brand management system.
  • Oversaw annual budgets in excess of $3M.
  • Managed one direct report and one contractor as well as multiple agency relationships.
  • Received the Komen Cup, a peer recognition honor given in acknowledgment of extraordinary accomplishments that are outside normal job responsibilities and expectations.

  • Developed a new, profitable regional advertising section in FamilyFun magazine.
  • Designed sales materials, created and presented client-specific advertising proposals, produced share-of-market reports, conducted competitive analyses, and composed business correspondence.
  • Organized client events, coordinated exhibit booth, and served as spokesperson at industry trade shows.
  • Recruited, hired, and managed interns and part-time laborers, and performed office management duties including purchasing, accounting, and technology support.
